The requested file upload failed. This is either because it was not in the correct format, or the file size was larger than that allowed. Please check the file you wish to upload and try again.

This is what you get everytime that someone trys to attach an image to a post in my forum. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas why this would happen, I have checked everything I can think of.

Did you chmod the uploads folder to whatever it is supposed to be?

I havent worked with that forum script before but I would first start with where the error tells you.

Is there a location to define what filetypes are allowed to be uploaded? If so verify that the filetype thats trying to be uploaded is listed. Spelling may affect this I dont know.

If the filetype is confirmed then whats the image size in compairson to the filesize specification. If you cant specify the file size with the script then it might be a PHP limit imposed by your host.

Thanks, I fixed it though, the directory to the folders and files in the config_global.php was blahblah/blah/uploads etc... but I just put a / infront of the first blahblah for all of them and it worked.

blahblah/blah/uploads/ should be /blahblah/blah/uploads/
