Lightbulb I have just bought a domain. How do i configure it?

I have purchased two domain name from downdoggy.com

I was told:

The two dns servers the domain name should be pointing too are:

ns1.geodns.net
ns2.geodns.net

The IP address then should switch to : 64.34.170.119

But could someone show me how to do this? it may be done on the downdoggy.com site but i couldn't find anything there that could accopmlish this.

Thx for all the help. I realy need to put my site up asap.

You're going to have to set the nameservers on downdoggy.com.

Unfortunately, I don't have any information specific to that site.

Here's how to do it at GoDaddy:

That probably won't help you. But, maybe.

What I would do is e-mail tech-support at downdoggy.com, and ask them how to modify your nameservers.

Log in your GODADDY's account, click "My Domains", check the domain and click Nameservers button.
Write there nameservers you want.

total dns control?

Hi. I've never used downdoggy but it looks similar to Godaddy.
They have total dns control. What you need to do is log into the web sit with your username and password, then go to edit your domain.
Then you want to go into total dns control.
You need to edit the @ record, and change it to the IP address of your web server (which should have been provided by whoever you purchased web hosting through).
Once you've done that it might take a couple of hours for the changes to take effect.

Hope that helps.
