I was wondering if it would be possible to get this forum skin converted to a vB skin. ....

VBulletin seems superior to phpBB, but at the same time it's not as easy to mod. It's partially my fault....I haven't spent a whole lot of time researching yet. I was just wondering if anyone could save me some time. Thanks.

VBulletin is great. We have converted to VB over at PC-Clever and the admins have soo much more control. We got a great design aswell, it should be easy to get V7n's design ported.

I haven't decided yet. I like the ease of use afforded by phpBB, but there are issues with security that I don't like. I hear good things about vBulletin.

Custom made by Cardesign, Kadafi (my leading designer) and a few elements by me.

I'm leaning towards staying with phpBB, but if we get much bigger we might be forced to go with vB. phpBB just isn't that good for huge boards.

Stay with phpBB, perhaps you could pay for some extra features?
I'm glad you haven't considered invision as an option, imo - it sucks.

I'd rather stick with phpBB if from a user standpoint it's better. It's always good to look out for your users and make them happy first. So I would go with the xtra trouble...
Plus phpBB is free

Whether its free or not - price has no importance when it comes to dealing with a forum this size.
The main problem associated with phpBB is stability and security.

I'm sure security is an issue they're working on with phpBB 2.2
