can anyone tell me what is difference between Web Design and SEO??

Web Designing - from the word itself "designing".
This will be the result of your page, what it will look like
and what will be the design.

web design is how your web page looking like and seo is optimization of your web page in the perspective of search engine.
web designing is for the peoples and seo is for search engines.

The way I see it there's two key jobs involved in creating a web site - the design; this needs to be done by a creative person with a flare for visual art - they need to know how to use Photoshop and Illustrator, but they don't necessarily need to be technically inclined and don't necessarily have to know HTML. Then there's the techy job of putting it together into something that will work in a browser - "Web Development" as opposed to web design. This is what I do, and it's distinct from the job of actual design - I don't claim to have any idea what looks good on the screen, but I do know PHP and HTML inside out. I will normally work with a designer who is the opposite - he knows what looks good on screen but doesn't normally know a lot of the technical details of how things go together.

SEO - search engine optimisation is something that both designer and developer have to keep in mind when creating a site - it's a case of making sure the appropriate keywords appear in the right places on the site, making sure the URLs are search engine friendly, things like that. It's more than that though - in a company SEO will often be handled by the marketing department rather than the IT department - it's about establishing links with complementary websites and building content.

web design is show you word what you do and SEO is waiting for result.it mean depend on other person.web design is you work complete on time but SEO is not this type.

Web design is making the layout of the website and probably converting it into HTML/CSS (some people consider this web development).

SEO means Search Engine Optimization. It helps you rank high in search engines by using specific keywords.

webdesign is just that, the designing of the website.
SEO is how you optimize your web page to get the most from the search engines.

There's no point designing a website that is not search engine friendly. It just costs the customer more to fix it and it costs them lost revenue.

Building a website is a package. The package includes (but not limited to) the visual look, usability, creating credibility and SEO. This package can be built by a team or if it's a one person operation, then they have to wear all these hats.
