Looking for Flash Graph Component

This is my first post, hopefully I picked the correct heading to type this query.

I have to create animated graphs using flash for a website that I manage. I haven't done this before and I'm guessing I start with finding a good add-on for my Flash program. I'm using Flash 5. Does anyone know a good add on that will work for Flash 5?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'add on' for flash but to start you'll need to define some params first -

A bar graph is pretty easy to do and can be tied into an external txt or xml file - the bars can be set to display height and color based on values in the external file but before all of that you need to decide: what type of graph? What type of data? How will it get the data? Will it be in realtime?

My understanding is SWF and XML files work together to generate the graph using the dataset. I can't figure out how to create the SWF. I see a bunch of programs on the web and from what I can gather they are add ons for Flash (ie: http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/d...hart_software/). Maybe I'm way off but if I'm not, I'm wondering if someone can recommend one of these programs that works with Flash 5.

Ah you mean a component.

You won't find anyone here that will be able to recommend anything like that - You'll just have to find one that does what you want and then buy it - or build one from scratch.
