no images are loading only slices

can anyone out there figure out why my page illuminatethenation.com is loading with only blank slices and no images or flash???

Did you upload the folder fireworks to your web server?

Are you sure you uploaded the flash to your web server?

I thought that i did. I think my ftp settings are not loading to the right spot.

I am using dreamweaver cs3 to upload them to my aplus.net unix based account.

Does anyone out there know exactly what the settings for the ftp are supposed to be for aplus.net unix account.

Please help, I'm desperate.

THis is my fifth site through aplus.net and i am pretty sure i am setting up the ftp the same way. My other sites uploaded fine... the site in question is illuminatethenation.com .

i had to get a new comp so i cant access my previous sites to check exactly how i had the ftp settings.

With this site though, my ftp connection is good, and everything appears to upload correctly, it just seems that i cant get it to the html folder to actually see it. (but i dont even know where the files are going then...) here is how i have it set now...

url : http://www.illuminatethenation.com/

ftp host name: illuminatethenation.com/

folder to store (upload) files : html/

then my log in stuff, which is good.

I have tried moving the forward slashes around and couldn't get it to work...

i think i have tried every possible trouble shooter through aplus.net help network.

i think the only reason my page has anything on it currently was because i was messing around trying to upload the page through aplus.net control panel and stumbled accross uploading the framework but not images. still i would like to set up the ftp correctly.

i also tried having www. in front of hostname

Now you have really broken it.

I'm getting 403 Forbidden.

Take a deep breath.

Put your whole website in a new folder on your computer. Make sure everything you need is in there. No paths to a location on your computer. Before I suspected you saved your images to a folder in the Program folder for Fireworks (which would make it work on your computer).

Now, with EVERYTHING for the site in a new folder on your computer, FTP everything in that folder to your webspace (following the instructions I already found for you from the hosting company).

as you can see if you look at the site, i have made some changes by using the aplus.net file manager... but it only lets me do one file at a time, so it is basically useless.

i just need to figure out why my ftp wont update or make adjustments

haha, thanks, deep breaths...

i have done that and it wont work...

i suspect that since aplus.net has updated their service and control panel recently that the old instructions may not work...
i have tried getting advice from them, and they just tell me the same thing...

Try using an actual FTP program instead of Dreamweaver.
