How to make BckGrn image resize to browser window?

How do I make a background image resize automatically to the resolution of the browser window? ! have a 1600x1200 background image I want to fit the browser window no matter what the user's resoultion is. Any ideas.

Thanks in advance for all your assistance.

set it as the background of a div with height and width set to 100%.

or a table, I do the same thing on my portfolio site, it scales down to 800x600 even though the image is 1400x1200

This is what I ended up doing. Made an image 800x600 and then did the following.

Help Please

In regards to the question about having a set image and wanting a code to have it automatically resize to fit a browser window no matter what the screen resolution is...I tried this code..and it works a lot better than I had before...but I still need help...Here is the link.
