Copyright photos/images

Hi all,

I would like to ask if anybody knows how to copyright images in a site so when someone right click on an image, it wouldnt allow them. Hope i make sense.

You don't need to do anything to copyright an image. The moment you create it you hold copyright to it. You may want to include some unique id within the image itself or watermark it.

What you want to do is to make it hard for a visitor to make copies of those images. Well, there are no effective metods of doing that. There are scripts which disable rightcliks, but they will work only for the less computer savvy people.

Thanks littlefella! i came across some site and when i right clicked their image, there's a pop-up box that says "copyright protected" so i think it is cool to do that to my site too Well anyway, no biggy. Thanks for taking time to reply.

btw, i can watermark the photos through Photoshop right?

Yes, you could.
I also posted here a script how to do it dynamically using PHP. It saves time because you don't need to work on every picture manually. The script does it for you on te fly. But I don't remember the thread's name
