Photoshop CS and free transform

I just installed Photoshop CS and everytime I try to do a free transform and click apply it does not smooth the edges.. My edges are very choppy, in photoshop 7.0 with I made a change and clicked Apply it would smooth the edges.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Are you viewing at 100% (actual size) ?

Yeah, im at the actual size, ive checked everything I can.. but it just isnt smoothing the edges..

I would start by checking your Preferences to make sure they are set correctly. Then you may wish to check out the Anti-Aliasing Menu.
