Software Recommedndations Needed

I am currently using Front Page 98 and want to upgrade. I occasionally get calls from people telling me they cant see my navigation bars or they have to scroll way over to see the whole page (it looks fine my end, even when I view from a 13" monitor).

Anyways here's what I need (Keep in mind, I am very green at this);

1. A template so I can have a header and left side navigation bar that changes on every page when I make a change. Right now, I have to add or delete links on every page individually (what a pain).
2. Available step by step tutorials associated with the software. I would prefer them to be in DVD, VHS or on the same CD. I would rather have the tutorial be in movie type format, I suffer from a reading disability where I can't rembering half of what I read.

Well since you're familiar w/ FP, why not get the latest version of it?

Are they're any good tutorial out there for it? Although I can do the basic design with it, I don't have a clue how to add search boxes, form fields, etc....I can get them on the page, but they never work. Like I said, I'm not very good at this and need step by step instructions.

Does it work with Win 98?


I just thought there would be something out there to lead me by the nose and show me step by step how to professionally design a website. If there isnt, someone should develop it becasue every forum I go to, that's the majority of the questions. It sure would make millions to create software and a VHS step-by-step learning tape so us less fortunate (or newbies) could watch the tv screen and learn how to design. That woud be like having an in-house instructor.
They make learning tapes for everthing but the biggest and fasting growing thing there is, Web Design......
