How to make html page non downloadable?
How to make a html page so it can not be downloaded. I would like to how you make it so that a page can not be downloaded like the pages at places at expedia or orbitz do. Does anybody know how to do that?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

what do u mean by "cant be downloaded"?
theoretically, u can copy any page... i can show u how
you can protect urself a bit by disabling the right click mouse (unable to do "save as.." then), or disabling left click (cant copy text), but that doesnt work in all the browsers, and there are always many easy ways to copy any site...
better write your copyright statement and check in www.copyscape.com if u were copied.. if that is what i meant

You can't because technically the html page is the codebase and the browser is the compiler that will display the code results within the browser. The browser needs to download all the code to display it. All you can do is add tags to prevent caching and you can also expire the page after it's viewed so it does not stay in the user's cache but it will still be downloaded to the user's browser.
With scripting languages like ASP, PHP, etc you can protect some of your code but the results will still be downloaded to the user's browser.

imaginemn, wanna bet that i can copy ANY html page? just give me a link and i will do some voodoo with it
noob_0001, u can add the following meta tages, if u want:
<meta http-equiv="pragma" content="no-cache">
This stops your pages from being cached, so if your visitors return to your site, they will see allyour updates
<meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no">
This This prevents Microsoft, from adding a tool bar on your large graphics.
<meta name="MSSmartTagsPreventParsing" content="TRUE">
This prevents Microsoft, from turning some key words on you pages, in to links and stealing your gusts.
hope this will help a bit
good luck!

Liza, I think that Imaginemn is saying to Noob_0001 that he can't "make an html page non downloadable" (bolding emphasis mine).

I'm not into coding and haven't ever even tried to copy an HTML page that I can recall, but if I ever do and have trouble, I'll know who to ask for help.

WOW! Sensational, Liza!
You really take some nice pics, and your site is looking really good!
I may play around with a pic or two if you don't mind. I won't post them anywhere but this forum and will PM you with what I've done first. Is that ok?

Ok kool. No, no dead people, lol. I would only do something that I think that just about anyone would like .. nothing too crazy. : )
I'll PM anything I do to you first and if you say that you don't like it then I won't post it and there will be NO hard feelings on my part. I just enjoy working with decent photos, of which I see a few beauties there. I just do it for personal enjoyment really, and you are very attractive and exciting looking, and quite photogenic, IMO.
Ok then .. kool!
