Question Have a job but don't know what to do next

I Have this web design job from a friend of mine and I have already started it and all that, the design portion isn't the problem.. He wants an e-commerce site and Ok, I got all that.. What is the problem however is the getting it live part... What I don't know is who sets up the hosting? Do I set it up in my name and when it's due to expire, do i contact him and charge him for it. Or do I have 'him' set it up and then have him give me access to it? I have turned down a job because of these start up things I don't know about.. Don't know what to charge and don't know the how to's of the start up process.. I hope this makes sense, I'm not sure I am explaining what I need to know very well...

Thanks much for your time
Barb

So your main concerns are

1) You don't know how much to charge him
2) You don't know the process to obtain hosting?

Thanks for your reply... both would be correct, although I have an aspect of what to charge (to an extent), I am more concerned with the process of obtaining hosting.. I am thinking of scraping the idea of me building it from scratch and just going with the sitebuilder at 'Hostgator' that I found on a suggestion in one of the posts on this forum.. But how would I set that up? wouldn't they need him to pay with his credit card so, he can pay again when it comes due to re-up? Then what? he gives me his passwords for it and then I can go from there??? grrr.

We have the client set up:
-domain registration
-web hosting
-shopping cart if they are going to use one

They will have to let you have access to the web hosting and shopping cart if you have to do any work on these. If they are knowledgable enough, they can do it themselves, you just provide what they have to upload/update.
