1. Press F6 to view Expanded Tables (DaveyBoy)
This will blow up all tables, and seperate them so you can select tables that are behind other tables EASILY without having to cut-paste back and forth or switch to code view. If you`ve ever had a problem selecting at able to modify press F6 and give it a shot.

2. Save some keystrokes and press F10 to switch to code inspector view.
(CTRL+` will switch to code view)

4. Shift + Enter Will result in a line break, another time saver.

5. CTRL + F5 = Quick Tag Editor

6. Use file manager (files --> manage sites), and keep everything organized.
7. Try and use "Apply source formatting", works pretty good imo in keeping it tidy.
8. If you "doctype it to XML" dreamweaver automatically does <br /> etc. instead of just <br>

Paste Special with CTRL, SHIFT + V to allow you to paste stuff with the formatting retained. Cool to know.

When you need to replace the same string in 50 different pages use the Site - New Site from menu to define the site and the 50 pages as its file. Now open just one page press CTRL+F write whatever string you want to replace and choose "Find in Entire Current Local Site" from the drop down.

Just saves a lot of time...

Resizing window

A major netiquette new window rule is to allow the user to resize the new window. Considering you can't control the user's browser preferences, you can never really know if the window you create is large enough to display all of the Web page contents. Therefore, it's only polite to allow the user to resize the window in order to view the contents of your Web page.

Fortunately, Dreamweaver makes it very simple to set the new window so the user can resize it. Simply use the Open Browser Window behavior. To do so, choose Window, Behaviors. In the Behavior palette, choose Open Browser Window. In the resulting dialog box, select the Resize Handles checkbox.

use a link to an external css sheet in your website template or in all of your pages so that you can update 100's of pages in seconds.

Dreamweaver tip of the day - Did you know you can use Dreamweaver site back-ups on other computers besides the original computer where the site was first added? I shuffle between my laptop and desktop, occasionally I'll re-install an OS and will need to import sites back into dreamweaver. This is also good if your dreamweaver ever craps out on you.

Second tip, export your website's settings everytime you add a new website to dreamweaver. Dreamweaver gets buggy once you get over 20 websites managed in there.
