I think that you should view some tutorials on different websites. No one will be able to help you with all of the Dreamweaver if they are not with you to show you.

All I can offer you is support if you get stocked on a specific project.

Use a FTP software instead. It's easier than figuring out the Site thing in Dreamweaver.

Of course you have FTP account information. on the left or right (they seem to switch across the version of DW) there will be a FILE.... something if you see the manage site click it.... then fill in the FTP info..... if you have an error try checking or unchecking the PASSIVE FTP option.

TEST SERVER can be in your localhost

THE LIVE version is green folder

THE YELLOW is your file can be in other drive in your localmachine

the red is the test server....

take this down and you will not be lost

(DW is easy to use sometimes compatibility in your server is the problem if passive or not)

Happy Coding

Yeah. You could install apache2 and develop the site locally. When you're done with your daily changes use an ftp to upload it. Working in design view through FTP in Dreamweaver will allow you to die in your chair before you finish.

Best to develop locally, then upload. Your ftp info should be something like ftp.yourdomain.com, the port can be left blank, and then your username and password for cpanel usually works. Contact your host provider for FTP instructions.

It's a snap once you get it set up.

You connect your website in Dreamweaver through the Site menu above
click it and go in new site
there add the site name and the folder then go to the server section and add the ftp details of your site and you are done
