facebook status via iphone

i just tested, there i can be able to update facebook status via iPhone, blackberry etc from that website itself. Usually these things can be done through mobile, right?

But, how is it possible through a website?

I don't get the point of the site. iPhones and Android phones (even Blackberry and Windows) have Facebook apps now that you can post statuses from. The site is obsolete.

My uncle doesn't own a computer or a laptop but he still posts on Facebook everyday using his Iphone. His phone is his computer. lol

One of the thing is that okay agreed that now people can also update their status from their mobile phones, but if a developer has designed a website which can update his facebook or other social site status, then what is the harm in it ?

The app is basically for iPhone, normal web browsing via PC is possible but you cannot get features like what in mobile. That is the same like http://www.solidlineproducts.com/

I actually am going to respond to the question "how is it possible through a website? ". Making this app is quite easy and it can be done through the Facebook developer page. This app will get declined for the Facebook app center, but its actions can get approved. Getting approved for actions and apps are two different things. Nonetheless, we liked the idea and we are surprised that this site is not getting any traffic.
