Has any one purchased artisteer and used it for creating wordpress websites ? If so what did you think ? Any suggestions or alternatives you'd recommend ?

I just watched the demo.
It seems like a few templates in an app with the ability to change content and publish trough FTP.

I don't know what your needs are but it's definitely a beginners app. What i mean is that I doubt you'll be able to change the template a lot. Unless you have HTML+CSS "access" but if that's the case why not just use Notepad++

It has trial version. Test it!

I'd still go for themeforest if it's my personal site and I need it fast.

Just a thought...

It's good for making blog templates and stuff for personal use. I've used it before and I can always tell when someone used Artisteer to make their WordPress or Joomla theme. I don't think its a good idea. If you want a theme for your site get a free one or buy one. But, if you want to be a web designer and make money off of themes, then you shouldn't use this program. Like mirohristov said, use NotePad++ and learn to code a theme the right way.
Good luck!

As for me I never come across this software or tool, and to be frank, I moreover don't know too much about it. Its also because wordpress itself is such a great CMS that it does not requires any other tool for itself. Looking to the reactions that artisteer got here, I think I should not think any more about it.
