Need some inspiration and advice

Hi everyone.

I am working on a kind of "sales page" and need some inspiration and/or advice from you guys.

Please take a look at http://webentwicklungrostock.de/_labs_/front-end-performance/ and tell me what you think, please.

At the moment only "Lorem Ipsum" (mostly).

Thanks,

Michael

Overall pretty darn good.

I'm not a fan of headers that shrink or expand when you scroll, but I'm guessing you'll have to hack some JS to change that in whatever theme you're using.

It looks like you're using some responsive design, but the top menu (Home, Contact, etc) is stacking on my cell phone over top of the lower content, so you might want to look into that.

Your next focus will likely be the content, and that's always fun I'd recommend using something like Optimizely to spit-test stuff like section headers and calls-to-action...maybe even images.

Good luck!

Thanks.

This is not a theme or the site is using any CMS at all.

Pure HTML/CSS/JS used and site is built with ZURB Foundation framework.

Regarding the content... yeah, that will get funny hehehe. But I am a professional in the "sector" so I think I just have to use my brain

Site is not done yet, thinking of using an off-canvas navigation or maybe hacking something together for mobile devices. Pretty easy stuff ;-)

First the good: it's responsive. The text spacing is good. The font, not bad too.

I'm with the previous poster on the shrinking header. I don't really like it. You could install the "up" button once users scroll bellow the fold. That feature, I don't' see.

I've got to be honest, I don't really like the black header, but with some graphics and some contrast of some sort, it could look good.

I do not like the black bars in the body at all. They separate the body text too strongly. I'd try to find a way to make them more subtle or even consider using a side bar for your adverts.

Try to go a little easier on the shadow effects too. There was a time when they were way over-used in the past, however a "little" effect today, IMO, can go a long way in designs.

The footer - I'd make it different than the header in terms of the colouring and borders. I'd suggest a grey colour, maybe a 20% black - you'd have to experiment with it to find the right colour.
