Problems with layers

Hi,

I'm quite new to Dreamweaver and have been doing ok until i came across this probem and seem unable to sort it.

I was inserting layers for some aspects of my website and this was working fine, i was able to move the layers up, down, left and right using the arrow keys on my keyboard and able to resize by draging the corners of the layer back and forwards.

However, it has now started doing funny things. I can no longer resize the layer, other than by typing in the physical dimensions and if i try to move it up, down, left or right it disappears to the edge of the pre-loaded template.

When i finally do get it into place using co-ordinates it doesn't appear in the right place when viewed in a browser.

It was working fine, and even when i open old websites i have designed that i've never had any problems with the same problem is occuring if i try and move any of the layers.

Can anyone help?

What browser are you using to preview? And is there an online version that we could look at?

One more question... do you feel comfortable enough with the code to edit it alone, without using the design view?
