going bald/ placing images

Having great troubles trying to get my images where i want them. Firstly i designed my header in photoshop / image ready.
Its a basic rectangle shape with the the top 2/3 main graphic and the bottom 1/3 a bar with my nav buttons. I then sliced it up to give me 7 slices/ images. 1 being my main image and the rest buttons.i have done this so i can have rollovers for my buttons.
I then went to dreamweaver and created a table with 4 cells, one being my header. I wanted a liquid header, so the idea is place the header i designed in photoshop, centered in the headercell and have a back ground image so it will stretch. The problem i have is i can not get the 7 sliced images put on the page as i originally designed it in photoshop. The top main image (2/3) is no problems, it centers ok, just where i want it. Its when i go to place the sliced up bar (buttons) i come upstuck.
I can not get them to line up under the main image. I have tried to put a table in the header cell and still could not do it.
I hope this makes sense. Am i on the right track. Any one with any suggestions before i go bald?

You should post a screenshot then... quickly, before it's too late!

I think I kind of know what you are talking about: You have a header image, below that is the menu images (6 of them)layed out horizontaly all with roll-over properties. The header image is NOT behind the menu buttons. You are using tables.

Ok if you are using tables you would basically have a 2 celled table. 1st cell would have your header, the 2nd cell below would have your menu images. If the header and menu are the same length (as most are) you need to left align each menu item image, that way they all line up in a row like ducks... ya know.

I have tried the best I can given your description and my understanding of the situation. Hope this helps... sorry if it doesn't.
