Hi there everyone! I need to ask something here regarding web building. Could I know from anyone of you how should I actually include forum in my website please? I know nothing about codings (php,asp,etc...). Is there any way I can include forum in my website? Maybe copy any software's code or from website maybe? Recently I saw many of them easily can create a forum and include in their website, do you guys telling me how should I do that please? Is there any software of program to help me?

Most forum software can be installed quite easily by following the included instructions. Usually only a few steps. Try http://www.phpbb.com , http://getvanilla.com/ , or http://simplemachines.org/ . If all else fails, feel free to drop me a private message and my company can set you up with hosting which includes a forum of your choice.

I know that you can pay vbulletin to install their software for you. I think it costs something like $150, but that's worth every penny if you don't know how to do it yourself.

Best is a subjective term. If you are working with a budget of $0, by nature vB or IPB cannot be the best. There are other criteria for which vB would take first place, and yet some others for which the first place would go to another piece of software.

Then if your budget is $0 then you should go for phpBB.

phpBB is an excellent choice for free forum software. Having a forum in general is an excellent approach if you go about it the right way. Good luck!

I found phpBB did the job, but with mods. Last I used phpBB, every mod had to be reinstalled after a phpBB upgrade which comes out every one or two months.

My phpBB boards got spammed by bots, and I had to install image verification. Also, there was a lot of admin features missing, but I think Olympus takes care of that. I'd still be worried about the future, since phpBB takes a while for new versions to come out... features always seem to lag up to a couple of years behind.

SimpleMachines is supposed to be more powerful, and mods are supposedly easier to deal with. Vanilla is great if you are looking for a Web2.0 style forum vs. the existing trend.
