online store development

What graphic features do web masters have to take into account when developing an online shopping web site? What helps to attract online buyers?

Conistency of colour schemes, careful choosing of colour schemes i.e. looking at the psychology of colour harmony and use in design. Other than that graphics should convey the image of the business in question and products.

3D design

But what do you think about 3D product view models? Could they attract online buyer's attention? Will it help online site's owners help their products?

flash or 3D

Comparing with flash 3D models are considered to be more realistic and therefore can provide online buyers with more detailed information! I think 3D product view models placed at our web site can completely prove the given fact! What do you think about it?

3d product view could be useful in some circumstances, but I can imagine it will use a lot of resources to implement that. Maybe it might become more widespread in the future. I don't know if I could be bothered waiting for everything to load if I was on a slow or dodgy connection.

I do like some flash 3d modelling, I use a clothing site made from flash which has some awesome tools that you can create your own designs and view the clothing in 3d. I think it just depends on the product you are selling, I mean you don't really need a 3D viewing system if you are selling books for example. I would probably only want something like that if I was buying things like appliances or computer parts. That's just me though.
