Parking Space Rental Site

The client wanted me to design a page that should be according to the web 2.0 standards. He has a website similar to www.parkatmyhouse.com

Since I don't have any experience of web 2.0 so first I read the articles on it and then tried to design a page according to the guidelines.

Please click the link to see what I designed for him,
http://glitto.tripod.com/Site2.jpg

Now you see the page and tell me how is it looking?

Is it any closer to the web 2.0 standards? Unfortunately the client didn't like the page too much and therefore the project is gone

I like the bottom half of it a lot, the header is what would need some work. The font choice for the header text isn't the best - that is, if you are aiming for the web 2.0 look through-out. That's not to say that it looks bad particularly, it just looks slightly different style to the rest of the page.

Is the project definitely gone or can you submit more designs to him? I'm sure with people's advice in here you'll be able to come up with something a little more appealing

Davey, Do you mean to say the font choice for the LOGO in the header is not good? Actually I just put a simple stylish text there as a logo,

Yes, the project has gone. I asked him to redo it but he said that probably I can't give him the result he is looking for. So I didn't give it another try.

I quite like the font mate, what i mean is that in web 2.0 the fonts tend to be chunky, or rounded sometimes. That one is a little bit different and doesn't seem to fit the layout too much. Saying that, if that was the only problem with it, he should have told you what was wrong and given you another chance. No designer in the world will nail a design first time every time!

You are right Davey, No designer in the world can do 100% of your choice in first attempt.

Anyways, I have talked to one of my friend online, he is interested in buying that template after doing some changes on it. I will do those changes and template is ready to sell

I really like it. I think it is pretty web 2.0-ish. Like DaveBoy said, the logo font could use some tweaking. Maybe just plumping it up a bit and blending the greenish color from the lower left instead of white.

Other than that it looks great.
