Me too, it is also more natural for me as it is more "graphics" based. I come from a marketing and photoshop background so it was much more natural for me to transition to flash. Plys the scripting isn't too bad given the other kind of scripting out there. By nature I am not much of a coder.

I'll agree with you on that one. It just sucks that SEO for flash is so complicated leaving everybody with a sour outlook on the sites as far as that goes. AS coding is definately not that bad. I hate coding too, but piecing together AS and using some of the built in functions is pretty sweet.

So what kind of things have you done to get SEO with flash?

Well for those that need SEO (and yes, some people do not need it) I basically make a spider friendly html version... but without the graphics and stuff. So it is basically just a site for the spiders that has what is in the flash.

Flash can be a great tool if used wisely, use it carelessly and you will give the haters more fuel [/obi wan]

I think the Flash rips tend to go more towards the overly fancy and exaggerated sites. I have to admit I find them annoying, too. The best Flash sites are the ones that don't yell THIS IS A FLASH SITE LOOK AT HOW COOL IT IS!!!! Unfortunately those sites usually make the "cool lists" and so people judge Flash sites based on those alone.

The web will probably get more, not less, Flashified in the future. Likely it will merge with digital television some time within the next 5-10 years. Flash, in particular Flash Video, will make this transition easier.
