Chat Room Software

Hi

Glad to se this forum still buzzing with life, good stuff... ;-)

Can anyone recommended a really good free chat room script. I know their are so many out on the market at the moment, its kinda hard to choose one that stands out from the crowd. i would like for somebody to recommended a chat room script they have used themselves and liked. I want to host the chat script on my server, prefer no advertising included in the script if possible. Also, would like to incorperate the script into my own site code.

if their isnt any free scripts that do not offer the above, then i have budget of around $60 for a simple chat script that I can control 100%. Anyone point me in the right direction?

Never met a chat room script I liked.

javascript and PHP chat rooms pretty much suck.
It's either a windows based module (few will use it due to security), or pure Java. Check out NFC. It's reliable and rock solid. Need some know-how and full server access though. Especially if you want to modify the looks and some functionality.
