Looping a swf in dreamweaver 8

I have this swf file that I want to loop, but when I check the little box next to loop, and I preview the page it doesn't loop. What am I doing wrong? Can someone help me?

I'm not 100% sure but....

There might be an action script on the last frame of the swf file to stop the animation.
In which case, you're going to need to edit the file and remove the script.

If you are just previewing it in Dreamweaver's Design view....DON'T. That view has more problems than it is worth. I've gotten in more trouble when I was learning DW looking at that damned Design view and thinking there was a problem when there wasn't. Preview it in a browser. Also, check the object and embed tags DW sticks in there and make sure those are set to loop. Post that part of your HTML if you are not sure what to look for. If they are then your down to Jay Cee's option of action script using a stop at the end of the clip. Good Luck.

If all else fails you can stick this bit of action script on the last frame of your movie..

If you add a SWF file to DW it will automatically add the code. By DEFAULT, it is set to LOOP. However, DW is assuming you have coded your flash file to LOOP. If your flash file is set to STOP it will NOT LOOP because the HTML code is not telling the browser to loop.

The way around this is to REMOVE the loop CHECKBOX and DW will add the following tags:

<param name="LOOP" value="false"> and loop=false to the EMBED tag.

After this happens, DO NOT ADD THE CHECKMARK back. Modify the CODE in CODEVIEW and change false to true. This should take care of your issue.

IMO, it's a BUG in DW that's been around for a long time.

SWF stopped looping

I have an SWF on our website that loops fine in the preview but when I access the site it stops near the end of the video. It was working fine on the website before and this just started yesterday. I haven't changed any code so I'm wondering if it could be the server? It happens on IE and FF. The website is www.snaketray.com. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out why this is happening.
