Dreamweaver will work but I use Maguma Studio for my PHP work. Just do a search on Google for it.

It looks so complicated though....
I don't know how to write php scripts.
I would like something easier and more for beginners.
Something that will allow me to design the website, aswell as add a few short bits of code if needed.

It is fairly easy as it has a box with all the different PHP commands and it also checks to see if it is valid syntax.

Yes it seems fairly easy, but not easy enough as I could do with something like Frontpage, but can't afford that.
I prefer to go with the "Look and move" ways of doing it, such as frontpage. I'm a beginner and very new to writing my own scripts, although can edit scripts..lol

Dreamweaver is excellent, but you do need to know how to write PHP. My suggestion is save your money and hire somebody to do it right for you. The money and time you spend into php for one site would be a waste.
Time is money and unless its what you do, you waste both

No No No....
I have just started the CIW course with scheidegger, which lasts a year and will give me qualifications to become a qualified web designer.
It costs £2500 overall, but gives me £700 free software and tutors.

Yes its in England, but the company offers courses all over the world...
According to the man who come to see me, he said:
"Scheidegger is the number 1 company in the world. Overing cheap and affordable curses to all webmasters wanting to make a living, a career and a hobby out of the training we give."

They are all the best...
Being as im paying nearly £1700 for the tutors...
I have 15 massive folders to work through, and over 100 one 2 one lessons to go to...
Also have free tokens for software, macromedia..etc
And other stuff...
Its a proper course..they also put me into a job at the end of the course earning £25,000 - £30,000 a year

yeah right
I would want to see all that in writing, here in the states , those kind of schools rip people off all the time.
they promise a job but can't deliver, nobody can promise you a job at the end., they can help you look, but that is about it.
luck,
robert

I've started my own web design business, and I've managed to get some pretty good FREE tools. Download.com is great for freebies. I use "the gimp" image designer, and "Selida" editor. Visit my site too if you like.
