I have a client that has a webpage with a problem with popup windows not being viewable/available, yet when I check them, I can see them -- every time.
The viewers are using IE 6 or 7, Windows XP, and the specific links they complain about not being available are the photos "Condo xxx Photos" under "Harbor Landing" on this URL:
http://www.rentalresources-ms.com/now-condos.htm
They say they get a "Page not available" popup. Whenever I click on the popup links, on 5 different computers, they always work for me. IE6 has "Block popups" engaged on these computers, but these are links that are producing webpages that come up, sized appropriately, so they are not affected by a popup blocker.
They also work (but only singularly) on Firefox, which I'm not concerned with.
Some of the URLs in the links are absolute, some are relative, so on one particular page only, I changed all of the popup windows' URL's so that they are absolute, they are now using the full URL (with the
http://...) and asked if the popup windows were visable or not. The reply was that the popups still produced and error page for the user. Darn, it's not that, then.
Any ideas of what to check next? Frustrating trying to solve a problem that I can't see.
The puzzling thing is that the report is coming from several sources, that may be in the same area of USA. Could there be a filter by a common ISP? Are there other possiblities for this error?
Thanks!
