Am I the only person using it? It seems to get almost zero publicity. I think it has a bad name because people think it is just a Front Page upgrade, but from what I have heard it is on par with Dream Weaver. Any thoughts out there?

I didn't know HTML from the man on the moon and I built my web site with it. They basicly threw Front Page out and started from scratch. I think they copied a lot from Dream Weaver because both programs are similar.

I believe I had heard something similar to that, with Microsoft ditching Frontpage. However, the hype did not seem to have brought them far enough. Not much publicity is being made to advertise MS Web Expression. Hmm... maybe I could do a post here to promote it.

IMO:
This version of Expression Web is an extended version of the FrontPage 2003. And it sucks
I've downloaded that program and it is the most miserable product that MS ever shipped.
Maybe that's why they didn't promoted it like they should.
Of course, it comes with a lot of interesting stuff, but also with a lot of bugs...

{The one that kills me is that you can not have the possibility to pin/unpin the floating windows...}

I prefer the Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition which is much more stable and performant.

I created my website with it and I'm very pleased with this product. This is my favorite Web Editor (Much, much better than FrontPage and DW)

I am very, very disspointed about Expression Web, because I've seen some tutorials before they shipped this product and i couldn't wait to see it on the market so i can start using it...I wasn't expecting to this piece of trash...

You must have downloaded the wrong program. Expression Web is not an "extended version of Front Page". It is a completely new program written from the ground up. I have been using it for 3 months and haven't come accross even a single bug.

Maybe you got the trial version without all the updates? I don't know man, I have heard other people say that it had bugs, the only problem I have had is some of my pages become unattached from the Master page. The whole master page/dynamic web template stuff has me frustrated. But it is the only wisiwig I have ever used so I have nothing to compare it against. I don't know HTML, I am just "wingin it", so I would trust your assessment of the program.

For a beginner, this program is gold mine! But after that, I strongly recommend the Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition;

So what is the difference between Expression Web and Visual Web Developer 2005? Why would MS create two programs for the same purpose?
