I have always preferred IE. I have FF on my PC but it always seem to crash on me. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled and it will still lock up on me. IE 7 has tabs so for me its just the same as FF. The only extension I like is spell check which I have on any vbulletin forum. I do like to check if my websites look right in FF but thats about all I'll use it for.

There is no such BEST browser, though you can specify your top3 or top5.

The most-used are IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari. Take a look at:

Firefox for the win!

IE6 is mostly used but when it comes to xhtml/css coding, it can be a real pain.

Definitely FF for me because of the addons but its not widely use so when your creating/coding a design, always test it w/ both, ff and ie.

I am a major Firefox addict. I think I was hooked at first by the tabs. I usually have at least a half dozen open at a time. What turned me into an addict though are the extensions. Too many to list really but here are the ones I use in relation to web development:

Web Developer (adds a menu & toolbar with various web developer tools)
IE Tab (enables you to use the embedded IE engine with Mozilla/Firefox)
Firebug (another web developer tool)
Colorzilla (Advanced eyedropper, color picker, screen zoom and other colorful goodies)
Foxytunes (for controlling your music player (iTunes, vlc, WMP etc) through a built in browser interface, since I always listen to music when I'm working

Nothing is better than Safari. All the others are extremely slow in loading pages. The speed is very significant when you switch to Safari. Now also available for the PC.
