IMHO:
Nowadays, there's no such thing as "the best web browser";
Each and everyone of them has good parts and bad parts.
As, maybe, you like FF, I like IE and others like Opera or Safari...

How would you describe the best browser?

the best browser is the what your customers use These days when I make a website try to do that for FF, IE 6 and IE7.

Firefox for me again because of the extensions and tabbed browsing. The have plug-ins that will do anything!

I have to agree that Mozilla Firefox is the best browser around. Less pop ups and never any wierd viruses that you are unsure how they were installed on your computer. I like the way it doesn't need all those crazy updates all the time like IE.

Well if that isn't a loaded question. Nevertheless, I'd have to say that FireFox is the best browser for Web Designers. Especially because of the plugin availabilities. However Safari is lightning fast for web browsing.

You can't choose any one as best in all the aspects.

Like

FF has very nice support of extentions.

IE is microsoft's product and more reliable.
Some code can work proper with IE not with FF

and so on

Mosaic. The reason I picked Mosaic is because it lead to Netscape Navigator, which in turn lead to Mozilla, which lead to FireFox.

I love FireFox.

Opera, its stable and fast. Love the speeddial thingy on ver 9, plus it has in built bit torrent protocol and if I just plain lazy to move the mouse it accepts voice commands

I use Opera and FF. That way I can switch back and forth while I'm working on a website without having 100 tabs on one app. I guess I could just use two FF but i'm just used to Opera.
