How to save a .swf file ? - Page 2

Often the swf file may itself only be a reference file that loads in external images, sounds, and video so sometimes just simply saving the file won't help you. There are other programs that can decompile a swf into a fla file. Great for learning new coding skills but you don't want to run around borrowing everyone's code and swf assets.

I use SothinK to snatch and decompile the file.
once it's decompiled you can grab the source (it shows the location).

Hi buddies I'm so glad to have found this forum and it's still active! I have a problem that seems to be really hard to solve--I have tried day and night and haven't figured out a way. I want to save a flash video from a web site to my computer. Below is the address. You'll see the video playing but can you save it to PC? I looked at it they're trying to hide the source in the code. Asswipes ....lol

Just do a screen capture (video/audio) - use wme, camtasia, or any other video/audio capture. If you can see it and hear it it can be captured..... Take that Ted!

Ted Turner locked up my browser they got so much script running in the damn thing.
Simple java calls to hide the damn thing - not exactly secure but a good deterent for me....lol

Thanks a lot for the tips. I just used wme to capture the screen but it doesn't look good (resembling bad photocopies) and has no sound

. Been downloading camtasia--takes hours to download this program. Will see if it works better... Hope there's a better way to get the actual file

Can anyone help me? I want to download a file from www.millionairetv.com (the movie to the middle right of the screen).

I went to the source and this link appears to work but then I can't download it or save it as anything either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
