your thoughts and help

I wish to build a website to go along with my commitment to help people in need. I'll start with my resume. I have 30 years of carpentry and construction plus electrical and plumbing. I have also learned CSS and html. I would like some advice on how to "word" the website that I will build that will be friendly to anyone in my area that may need to ask for help in times of need. The site will be local only. 50km max. I am going to ask local contractors for help and retailers for support. I will also ask the local newspaper for free ads. I will advertise their support on my site. My domain name is http://www.helpfulhands.ca . I would welcome any thoughts on this good deed.

I would also like write about the each day at the end of the day about the things that I have done. What would be the best way to do this. Word Press?

How to... "word" your site? I don't understand - are you asking how best to advertise or describe it in print format?

Are you talking about headings? An article, or something like that?

I take it this is like a habitat for humanity type of organazation, but I think we need some more info to help.

Like what type of services you will be doing.

Your mission, so on so fourth.

I would put a little about your organazation, and put in an about us page with more detailed information. Have a few quotations from people you've helped. Have a few pictures on the front page also.

Just what I would do to design it. good luck
