File Permossions

This is my first post on this forum so I hope I'm asking this in the right section. Although I'm fairly knowledgable with HTML I'm entering new grounds right now. I'm installing a CGI news letter script on my site and I'm using a new server.

I have to change the fiel permission to 775. On all the servers I've ever worked on before all I had to do is change the nunbers. When I enter the pae to change the file permission on this server I get what you see in the below image instead (Where it said "username" would actually have my username I use to sign into the control panel).

All the drop down menu's contain what you see in the one that's open (read, no access, Modify)

I'm too familiar with this. Can anyone tell me how to set this to equal 775?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello, RonJaxon, and welcome to v7n!

let me first say that I have no idea of what you're talking about here (I have never used cgi scripts) so I could be wrong about what I have found (if so, please forgive me) :
- http://www.aota.net/Script_Installat...hangemode.php4
- http://hostingct.com/supportmanual/cgibin.shtml

I searched for "set file permission to 775" and there were some sites talking about this.

If you already done that then...
