Dreamweaver problem - adding sidelinks to a library/asset
Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum and not very new with Dreamweaver, but having an issue today.
I created a web site layout in Photoshop, which has sidelink graphics (ie - home, contact, etc.) I used slices in PS to separate all the sidelinks as well as other components and then "save for web.." and saved as HTML and images.
Now in Dreamweaver, I am trying to get the sidelinks into a library item to make it easy in the future if we need to add a section to the site.
It looks like the way Photoshop creates the HTML for the page is that it puts each sidelink button (slice) as a row in a table (?). Maybe this is part of the problem but I'm not sure.
I click-shift or highlight the sidelinks and drag over to the Assets window, but only one element shows gets dragged there. I can't figure out how to get all the sidelinks into the library.
I tried removing them from the table and putting them one on top of each other, and then removed the sidelink graphics from the home page and merged the cells into one cell and added back the library item, but that messes up the home page as other things don't line up exactly as they should.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Is it a problem with my slices in Photoshop perhaps? Or that Photoshop creates the HTML for the sidelinks as as table rows and this table is part of the rest of the site?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Nat
