I have two main competitors where I live. My main competitor is:

They are not that bad, but not really good either. They are launching a new site:

I need to promote my site (http://www.StealthNet3000.com), but with their extensive portfolio and new website (when it comes out) will be even harder.

When I designed my site, I did not design it “ready to grab customers attention”. What are good aspects and things that people want when they look at a design company. I am considering re-designing my site for the summer so it will be more “pleasing to the eye”. What else can I do?

I know why they are good. I think they use templates for some of their sites.

I have a small startup webdesign company as well. I am startting to believe that the only reasonable thing to do is to hit the street. This mean contact people directly.

sabatoge works great as well. just kidnap the designers over there and when they do not meet the client's deadlines simply go and take the clients out from under them.

If you hear they are about to pick up a new client in town simply go to that person quickly and lowball the estimate that they gave them, this one really does work.
