There is no Dreamweaver forum, mate. But use the search tool and perhaps you'll find what you're looking for.
For example...

Thanks, I have done a search, but my problem may be awkward. I have used dreamweaver mx with no problems, but when using 8, my sites that have used layers with height percentages, squash up in 8. To view images in 8 I have to change from percent to px. I prefer percent because my sites will scale to the screen resolution of the viewer.
Thanks

FrontPage is no comparison to Dreamweaver and if you are at the stage of learning one, then Dreamweaver is the only way forward.
That said, it depends on what you intend to do with your site.
If you are just trying to knock up a quick site and have no intention of sitting there and learning a web package, then Dreamweaver (with everything it can do) is probably overkill.
But if you are planning on making a career out of this then Dreamweaver is definately the better of the two and don't even glance at Frontpage.
FrontPage is quick, relatively easy to use but Dreamweaver is a professional package that is industry standard.
I hope that helps

Dreamweaver question
How's it goin everybody. I havent posted or replied in a while. I have a question. In Dreamweaver there are different types of pagesdesigns given to you. What I wanted to know was where can I go to get more layouts to add on to my dreamweaver program? Another question is the flash buttons. Is there a site I can go to to get more flash buttons added rather than just working w/ the ones I already have?

I'm trying to learn Dreamweaver instead of handcoding. The tips are appreciated.

webfinity: My advice would be to learn the basics of handcoding. HTML. CSS. Use notepad, and then when you've got than in your knowledge, move onto Dreamweaver.
Dreamweaver is a tool, much like a calculator. But you can use it much better if you understand what it's doing for you.

Handcoding in notepad can feel a bit overwhelming. I recommend using DW in split screen - you can see design view as well as your code. You will begin to familiarize yourself with HTML by viewing the code of what you just did in DW.

I'm a newbie to DW using a pre-designed template and have a (only one for now - more to come, I'm sure) question:
Is there a "Quick Start" listing somewhere that tells me the basic steps to take in configuring this template for my use? From what I'm reading in the documentation, it appears that there are several things that have to be "set up" for the site to work properly when I put it online. If someone can give me a listing of what needs to be done, I would appreciate it a lot!
THANKS!

I'd say one way to learn it, is to create a table, fill the table, type something in the table, add a column or a row, add a page title and save it. then create another page exactly the same way and save it. then create a link to the 2 and upload it. Then just start experimenting. If This is still too difficult, then start with Frontpage which is more intuitive then DW. If you're in it for the long haul, then your question is too broad based for everone to give you a proper in depth answer.

I'm a Dreamweaver fan as well. I just launched a new Forum today and it includes a Dreamweaver area. Having just launched it, there are only two registered members so far but if you want to try posting something in there it may attact a few knowledgable Dreamweaver gurus that would be willing to share their knowledge with us.
You can find it at: www.webmastersden.net

you can do one pretty easily with a php/sql database.
just set one up and connect to it with Dreamweaver and then use the built in php tools.
might only work in dreamweaver mx or dreamweaver 8 though.
I use this features and they are great
