What would cause flash to freeze?

I made a flash intro the other day, and the gy is saying it is freezing peopled machines. What could cause that? Could it have something to do with whoch version of flash I exported it in?

its the peoples machines (or person).

the only thing that could do it is heavy actionscripting, and even still . . . it's much more likely the peoples computer.

is the intro somewhere on the net where I can see?

lots of recursive actionscripting, a bunch of on (EnterFrame) events will mess flash up. Can usually be fixed pretty easily with proper optimization

also flash gives an error after 15 seconds of 'inactivity' saying that the script being run is causing the computer to slowdown there are ways around this also

Flash is processor dependant. So I dont know what happened with that Movie, although it played slow the first time, and the second time made my 2ghz pc 1 GB RAM turn to mush!

It froze mine up yesterday when I opened it up ... pissed me off... had to reset

if you are talking about that avril site it did it to me chris. i decided to watch the whole thing and right at the end it just froze my computer.

did you use much actionscript. could just have an infinate loop mathmatical loop that is simply bogging down machines. mine is fairly new and powerful and it did it to me, so has to be a big one.

I think it was a JS error, the owner of the site added a counter and I thinkt hat was causing the problem. Check it agin and see if it still does it.

i am not checking that thing again. i have having to do a cold shutdown on my computer, puts me in a bad mood.

I checked it at home and did nothing to my computer... didn't notice it slowed down or anything...
