Where to start?

I've relied on the Internet as my source of income for over 6 years now, but mostly in a management and marketing role. I have a great knowledge of the Internet in general but no knowledge in developing sites - but I want to learn.

Where do I go to start the learning process? HTML, graphics, etc?

Thanks for your help.

A great resource i've found for learning html is www.webmonkey.com Webmonkey also offers information on other web design elements like css, php, etc. I don't know what to tell you for graphic design except to try tutorial sites.

Another place to learn HTML is http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp

For graphics you can check out some tutorials at www.good-tutorials.com

HTML is probably my weakest area so I really appreciate the input. I've been studying Photoshop for the past few weeks so I'm hoping that will suffice for most of the graphic needs.

Hi.

The interent is your major source of income, right? Not learning html and webdesign will save a lot of your time. There are probably scores of underemployed designers, perfectly capable of realising your ideas for small fraction of the income you will get in the time you saved by hiring them.

Joust a thought.
