How can make the background music in my web site ?

i want the music to continue when I change a page and not to start from the beginning .. Inform me Please Thanks a lot ..

You may use IFRAMES but this would solve the sound problem BUT it would hurt your SEO rankings ...

One of the other options is open a new window but... this would annoy visitors or popup blockers will stop it from opening.

I would suggest you to build a nice intro page with flash and skip intro button (just in case of impatient people).

I'm just curious here but wouldn't having your site in flash hurt your seo rankings since none of it can be read by the spiders anyway? Unless you link ALL related content using the longdesc attribute, which STINKS imo!

Is this true, i read it somewhere... i think on here!

While that's a very useful tool it still doesn't make it as good as xhtml/css since some of the tags were XHTML incorrect, i.e. the <br> tag was without the <br/> (backslash) and it didn't pick up anything for the image, i.e. an alt tag, which is crucial for accessibility in your pages and providing descriptions for the disabled. Flash wouldn't even encroach on a single A standard for accessbility.

But anyway, going off topic here, The flash would work and still become exposed to the spiders providing he used the tool posted above!

When I first got into development I thought having background music was very cool but then I learned from going to other websites who do the same thing it can be really a pain so I really would not put any type of background music in your site unless it is an intro page. People don't always want to hear that stuff that much is for sure. Also you might want to think about this, sometimes visitors that come to your site might have their sound turned up without knowing it might be so loud and when they hit your site and the music starts to play it can scare the holy moly out of them and they will just leave. I have done that a few times it is just annoying!

The browsers and search engines have some tolerance with non-XHTML conforming sites, so we don't need to worry about this now because at the final stage every html file is plain text that is analyzed...
