how to know do people visit my site

they are what they call traffic counter or web analytics.. you can see the number of visitors per day,week or month.. there are also other features beside from that.. it really helps...

i would recommend awstats, many webhosts comes with it installed, other wise i would go with google analytics , which is great

Yeah as others have said, Google Analytics is simple to install (assuming you have an include file you can dump the code block in, or have few pages). Its really robust in that you can see how much traffic, where its coming from, relevant keywords, bounceback rates, and more.

Dear guys! Thank you for advice! Everything is cool. I’ve installed google analytics, tested successfully, but, you know, it didn’t show anything. I don’t understand what’s the problem - I've asked my friends to visit my site and visited it myself, but nothing reflected in the stats.

Where did you install the tracker? Show me your code- Ganalytics is sometimes dodgey when installing!

Also it takes a while to register and show you some stats!

yeah you're tracker code is placed wrong. You should put it JUST before the </head> tag.

I’ve installed tracker from Voting Server it works well, but it tracks only my homepage. I guess it shouldn’t be like that. Do you have some ideas?

Well..... For that case.... u need to place the Tracker Code to every single page you wanna analyze.

But remember.... Code Does NOT Differ for every page, IT REMAINS THE SAME. So like the 1st Index Page you added the Track Code by filling up the detals. You need to do that for all the other pages also.
