Desperately need a chat

Can anyone give me a clue how to add a chat feature to the site (I've read about it somewhere, can't remember where exactly). I want to place it right to the homepage, and there's no database support

Yeah, it doesn't want to load.. And this name - shoutbox - is it standard for such components?
