Cpanel newb

Ok so I have my domain name Im using filezilla to upload to cpanel but i dont really understand how to get my website customized. I put html in to the public html folder but when I view my site I just get an index page with folders on it, am i missing something important?

Sounds like something is not working correctly.

Let me make sure I got it right....You are uploading a file called index.html into a folder called public_html right?

If so you should see the file, not a folder list of the files.

Please let me know exactly what you are doing and I can further assist.

I think he uploaded file in wrong directory.

And since the new file manager runs off of AJAX, I'm sure it just wasn't refreshing, maybe?
