How do i upload .swf flie to my server?

hello, everyone........i have found a player from a free site ,that will play my video, but, i put the script code in my page that the site gave me, i uploaded the .swf file to my hosting service via ftp program, when i click (preview in browser) im using DreamWeaver MX by the way, i can see the video there, but it won't play......help please?....thanks in advance!!!!

First you need to understand how it works. .swf IS THE PLAYER. The feed it needs comes from .flv

Putting it simply. You take a (let's say) .wmv (video) encode it to a .flv, then you make a .swf that will play a .flv video.

What you are seeing is the still frame of a .flv. If it's not playing it is because you don't have the correct feed from a .flv. All this programming to make a .flv work with a .swf happens inside the .swf.

The reason people are now using this system is because. You can't take it unless you know all of the correct addresses and it makes smaller files that are clearer and play better. Now some places place "embed" codes that you can copy and use on your site. It they don't it is almost impossible to rip off.

You can get the .flv file from sites, but without a swf maker. You'll never will be able to play it.
