I have a .chm file - cannot open. need what software to open ?

Microsoft Compiled HTML Help files
ChemDraw Chemical Structure files. "

If it's a MS help file, you should be able to read it, unless it was made with a newer version of MS help than you have.

If you use Firefox, there's an addon here to read it.
