Any way of making files available on a website

We're setting up a website for a client and they want to make a selection of files (spreadsheets and photos) available so that browsers can download them.

Is there any way of doing this other than just having links to the specific files - the files will be changing regularly so we don't really want to have to keep changing liks etc.

Create a directory on your server and upload the speadsheet files to it. As long as you don't include an index.html, the browser should give you a list of all the files in the directory which can then be downloaded with a click. This way, you don't have to edit anything, just upload and the server creates the links for you.
