What is the easiest software to pick up?

Hi, I am new to web design and have little knowledge on how to design a website. I am therefore looking for software that can be used for a simple .info website that can incorporate ads.

Do content management systems like Joomla incorporate banners? If not what would be the quickest and easiest way to build a site that can run ads?

Many thanks!

why don't you just get a free blog from blogger or wordpress. that would be much easier.

I've actually decided to design my new site in Photoshop but am having problems editing the sliced document in Dreamweaver. When I do a simple thing like link the logo graphic to the homepage, white lines or cracks appear around some of the sliced images.

I'm really keen to learn web design but things like this keep happening that I do not understand and it's kind of putting me off

Ya, the rows should always go straight across the page or else you will run in to problems. Columns can be mixed up a little bit. My site was built using photoshop slices.

baring in mind I am a complete noon to web design, do you have any idea where I could be going wrong? I normally pay people to build my sites but really want to start doing it myself. I've followed a number of video tutorials on slicing and have not done anything differently to them!

Those white lines are likely from undefined border= tags on each image, you should go in and add a border="0+ tag to each slice image.

I've gotten rid of the white lines now by giving each image a border="0" tag. Thanks for the help!

There are programs that can generate scripts to parse form data to other sections.
You could try http://www.form-maker.com/?gclid=CIKJ9LD... which is about $30.00 or Adobe Acrobat can create forms that can be exported as pdf's etc.
