submitting your site to dmoz is like your waiting for your luck... I submitted mine but still no luck. I follow their rules and i give up..

DMOZ should not be called as open directory but a close directory. I have .edu site (our school) but it was not approved for 4 years not but a school (a competitors of ours) who is hosted in a free hosting site (geocities.com), they have approved it. I don't understand how they include sites, is it favoritism or what?

Not listed is not the same as "not approved"
"for 4 years" - in fact your submission was from 2008.

Anyway, this site is listable. Have a nice new year.

If a site is rejected as not listable, how will resubmitting it make it listable? It will only waste your time in resubmitting it and the editors time in deleting it again.

And I say: lets submitting, re-submitting and submitting again and again until DMOZ get blue and start respecting Internet Community and communicate with people who are taking their time to submit their sites. It takes automated reply to say to somebody: your site is piece of crap, get lost and never come back and it will stop re-submissions and total waste of Editors and Submitters time

DMOZ deserved to be SPAMMED as if there is no tomorrow because it insuring incoming spam will never ever stop to come and with 500,000,000 new sites to come within next 5 years, it will be swamped with endless submitting mercilessly if management continue to exercise total stupidity and refuse to leave Year 1999.
