use optimized text when possible. if for design consideration you use short text links make sure you also use keyword rich footer links.

if you use images use descriptive alt text. also try to use keyword rich footer links.

cross link from within the page content when it makes sense

Linking is useful if you want to channel the PR to pages of most interest.

ie. the page you want search engine to refer people to.

Simply, put links in the lesser page to point to the main ones.

Ok can internal linking be used as well to get a deeper and easier crawl of your pages... Seen the example of the suzuki page , and I was wondering if you need to always link back to the main page or can you link to other topic pages. And if so, how.. Btw at the bottom of the page on of each new page i create and on the left there is a navigation menu that leads the search engine back to the most important pages i have, is that fine to have one on the left and one at the bottom or would that be considered as to overdone..

you can have navigation at the left and bottom. most good site design does have a couple ways to get around the site.

you can link into your inner pages. often times it is easier to get links into your home page from sites such as directories, but sometimes it is a good call to try to get links into your inner pages if you think it would be easier. for example you can find someone with a site about one of your subtopics and ask them if they would mind linking into your article.

Cheers I will have to fix a couple of more things first and then i will add a 300 pages rich content paper about "eating healthy" to my site. All linked to one other. Is there a way you could view the tree of all linked pages in a directory or a pyramid structure view, I mean software or something else.
