Directory worth submitting to.
Hi
You can submit to the http://www.01webdirectory.com. If you ask nicely you can get two category listings for the price of one.

If you don't accept free submission at all, why not remove the free submission option? It saves our time, you time as well.

I submitted www.pinnacledisplays.com on June 16th.
On July 12th, I got this email...
"Hello, You have recently submitted http://www.pinnacledisplays.com to
01webdirectory.com (Details mentioned below).
Our sincere apologies for the delay in reviewing your site for a
possible inclusion in the directory. This is partly due to the great number of requests we have been receiving everyday and advanced plans afoot for the directory, for which our manpower resources are currently being
deployed to. We assure you that, we make all possible efforts to review your site.
However, we have made a provision for you to be able to get your site
reviewed quickly by opting for an "Express Submission", wherein your
request will be reviewed within 3 working days and your site features
at the top of category page as "Featured Site". The express Submission
costs a one time US $49."
If they are so swamped and understaffed that they can't review the "free" submissions, perhaps they ought to remove that option and be honest that they only list PAID submissions for $49. And if they are so swamped, why are they soliciting more submissions?
I haven't checked out BlueFind yet, but I think its a much better deal for what one gets.

this sounds completely idiotic. I almost feel it would be the right thing to do to remove any links I have pointing at their directory.
At $49 a pop for that directory I can guarantee that they are not swamped.

hmm..
I think they need to sort their hosting out before they start asking for $49 for a submission..
I've tried a few times over the last couple of days to actually view this directory.. ''page cannot be found''

I think I got an email like that initially and deleted it...
"Thanks for your submission, we'll review it shortly, blah, blah, blah..."
I wouldn't hold your breath.

I submitted before, didn't get any response. There are also some other directories like this one, providing paid and free options, but never accept free submission, just want to make their promotion easier, I'm sick of this kind of directory.

Sounds like they are using ODP as a role model.

I've submitted my site (almost a month ago) for free? It hasn't shown up yet but the submission was free. You mean the express one?

if you submitted a month ago, you are almost due to get the standard email, "sorry, we are too busy to review your site for free, but if you will pay us, we will get your site listed right away..."
Don't hold your breath... they may "accept" free submissions but only as a bait and switch to then later ask you to pay. I doubt you will ever get a free listing (I have been waiting since mid june).

Yes, I've received the same mail as yours, 2-3 days after my submission.

Now I got it. They actually don't have a free service. They just pretend to have one?
