Question regarding Yahoo listing

Hi all,

Can someone give me an idea of how long it takes to start getting some sort of ranking in Yahoo, once they start indexing a site?

Obviously many elements are involved with the seo work side of things, but if some of you who have good positions in Yahoo can give me an idea of how long it took you.. that would be great

Thanks

MaK

I usually target Google (getting tons of links and whatnot) and then when I look over I am already there in Yahoo!

I would say Yahoo! is going to be a bit slower for super uncompetitive terms, a bit faster for like mid level terms and hard terms.

I think there are a ton of variables and its hard to time. like they look at stuff kinda differently. in Yahoo! my home page was immediately #17 for GOOG because of its link popularity. Google started out the individual GOOG post at #53 and had it at #8 the next day after I pointed some links at it. its really hard to give definitive times for anything though because stuff can and will change and there are tons of variables

Hi awall,

Thats very interesting.. I would of thought that the more competitive the keyword/phrase, the longer it would take to rank well for it... o well

Thanks

I was comparing it to google when I said slower or faster. I guess I do not know that I track stuff close enough or work on a large enough of a variety of sites to give me a fair representation of what occurs all the time.
